Eligible applicants should submit

1. A letter of inquiry that includes a brief statement of relevant experience and areas of interest and expertise, including any foreign languages. A list of recent projects or samples of your work may also be included.

1. Copyeditors should indicate their experience with online editing in Word using Track Changes, and/or if they work with hardcopy manuscripts.
2. Proofreaders should indicate whether they have experience using Adobe Acrobat to proofread PDF files online using Acrobat’s Comments. Hardcopy proofreading may also be available.
3. If applicants have used FTP to access files, they should note that as well.

2. Current résumé.

A copyediting, proofreading, or indexing sample is required for an application to be considered. The appropriate tests will be provided upon request. Professional references will be requested from qualified applicants.
